From Zero to Live: Your 5-Step Guide to Launching on Zimflow
Welcome to Zimflow! This guide will walk you through the essential steps to get your automated WhatsApp chatbot up and running.
Step 1: Complete the WhatsApp Onboarding
After signing up, you will be directed to the WhatsApp Setup page. This is the most critical step.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for the Embedded Sign-up. You will be asked to connect your Facebook account.
- You can connect an existing WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) or create a new one during the process.
- Website Requirement: During the Meta onboarding, you will be asked for a website URL. If you don't have one, navigate to Company -> Public Page in the Zimflow sidebar first. Copy your sharable profile link and use that as your website URL.
- Once completed, Meta will review your account. This can take a few minutes to a few hours.
Step 2: Choose Your Subscription
While Meta is reviewing your account, you can choose a subscription plan that fits your needs. Navigate to the Billing section from the main menu to view and select a plan.
Step 3: Configure Your Company & App Settings
- Company Profile: Go to the Company tab. Fill out your business details, address, and upload your logo. This information is used on your public profile page.
- App Integrations: Go to Settings -> Apps. Here, you can enter credentials for third-party services like EcoCash if you plan to accept payments through your chatbot.
Step 4: Create and Test Your First Flow
- Navigate to Flows and click "Create new flow".
- Use the drag-and-drop canvas to build your conversation. You can start with an "Incoming Message" node for a general welcome flow.
- Use the "Test" button in the Action Panel to simulate the conversation and ensure it works as expected.
Step 5: Activate Your Flow and Go Live!
- Once you are happy with your flow, go back to the Flows list page.
- Find your new flow and click the toggle switch under the "Active" column to activate it.
- That's it! Your chatbot is now live on WhatsApp. Send it a message from any phone to see it in action.
